About the Suzuki GSX750E

Early GSX750E intake and brake parts, with clear front and rear applications.

Suzuki Motorcycle Logo

The 1980 GSX750E used a 747 cc air-cooled four-cylinder engine and disc brakes at both ends. Suzuki’s Japanese 1983 model brought revised chassis equipment, including Full-Floater rear suspension and a 16-inch front wheel. That change is a useful reminder to keep early component applications with their stated years.

Identify the intake component and brake position first

The slide diaphragm, front master-cylinder kit and rear brake pads below each list GSX750E 1980–1982. The air filter lists 1982 only. Identify which intake component needs replacement: a slide diaphragm, a float-bowl gasket and an airbox filter serve different jobs. Compare other models in the GSX750 parts guide.

Use these reference points to choose the model and assembly for your repair.

1980–1982

Carburetor diaphragm

The selected diaphragm names the early E-model application.

Parts checkpoint: Compare its lip, diameter and slide attachment.

1980–1982

Front hydraulics and rear pads

These are separate brake positions and service products.

Parts checkpoint: Identify the correct axle and assembly.

The selected filter names GSX750E 1982.

Parts checkpoint: Match the airbox and filter sealing edge.

Prepare for the repairIdentify your GSX750E components

Keep the bike’s identity and the details of the assembly being repaired together.

  • Keep the E suffix and full model year with the motorcycle’s identification.
  • Photograph carburetor markings and the diaphragm/slide attachment.
  • For brakes and intake service, compare the installed master cylinder, rear caliper and airbox.

Suzuki GSX750E parts questions

What does the GSX750E carburetor slide diaphragm product supply?
It supplies an individual diaphragm associated with the carburetor slide, with GSX750E 1980–1982 listed. Compare the diaphragm profile and slide attachment. It is a different component from a float-bowl gasket or complete carburetor repair kit.
Which GSX750E brake parts are for the front and which are for the rear?
The linked master-cylinder repair kit is for the front brake; the linked brake pads are for the rear. Both list GSX750E 1980–1982. Check the installed cylinder or caliper before choosing the corresponding repair part.
How should I match the air filter to my GSX750E?
The filter lists GSX750E 1982 and is sold individually. Compare the fitted airbox, filter height and sealing edge. An early E-model name alone does not establish coverage for another year or a modified intake.
Do the early GSX750E repair examples cover the revised 1983 model?
Their printed 1980–1982 applications do not establish 1983 fitment. Suzuki records a chassis revision for its Japanese 1983 GSX750E. Identify the year, market and installed assembly, then use a product that explicitly matches them.
