About the Suzuki GT380
Engine, fuel-system and chassis service for Suzuki’s Ram Air two-stroke triple.
Introduced in 1972, the GT380 combined an air-cooled three-cylinder two-stroke engine with Suzuki’s Ram Air cooling arrangement. Its engine layout differs from the T500 twin, and early components need their own checks. This collection supports engine sealing, carburetor repairs, fork service and clutch work. The original 1972 front drum brake is a useful identification point when planning a restoration.
Keep early brakes and later carburetor applications separate
Do not choose front brake parts for an early GT380 from a broad year range alone: identify the fitted drum or disc assembly. For carburetor work, the featured rebuild kit lists 1974–1977, while the separate bowl gasket starts in 1973. Engine and fork listings may span more years without extending either carburetor application.

First-year front brake
Suzuki’s original 1972 GT380 specification uses a front drum brake. Confirm what is fitted before choosing levers, pads or hydraulic service parts.
Carburetor year limits
The featured rebuild kit lists 1974–1977 GT380. The bowl gasket lists 1973–1977, so neither entry establishes a 1972 application.
Fork and clutch service
The featured fork seals and steel clutch plate list 1972–1977. The seals measure 33 × 46 × 11 mm; confirm clutch plate dimensions and quantity separately.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingGT380 identification checklist
Use the motorcycle’s identification and the fitted component together. A registration year or family name can leave important application details unresolved.
- Confirm GT380 and the model year from the motorcycle’s identification.
- Identify the fitted front brake as drum or disc and record carburetor markings.
- Measure removed fork seals or compare clutch plates with the service specification for the assembly fitted.
