About the Suzuki RM85
Early RM85 brake and clutch repairs, with a separate check for replacement forks.
Suzuki positions the RM85 as a lightweight two-stroke motocross motorcycle. Race use makes control condition, braking and clutch operation practical inspection priorities. The selected parts here have specific early-model applications; a continuing model name or a specification from a current RM85 is not evidence that a service part fits every earlier motorcycle. Check the fork before choosing seals
Fork assemblies can be changed during a race bike’s life. Identify the fitted fork and measure the old oil seal’s inside diameter, outside diameter and height before choosing a replacement. For clutch work, inspect the plate stack and release adjustment; for rear braking, compare the pad outline with the actual caliper.

Rear brake
Early-model coverage
The featured rear pads list RM85 2002–2004. Confirm pad shape and the rear caliper before purchase, rather than extending that application to later race bikes.
RM85 and RM85L
Shared coverage is part-specific
The selected clutch plate lists RM85 2002–2004 and RM85L 2002–2005. That overlap applies to this plate and should not be carried over to other components.
Fork identification
Measure the seal and fitted fork
The catalog contains fork-seal listings with overlapping RM85 years and different dimensions. Ask for a fitment check with fork markings and measurements before choosing between them.
