About the Yamaha AT2
Small service parts that support a careful 1972 AT2 restoration.
An AT2 restoration can involve the ignition contacts, the carburetor’s float pivot and fork sealing. Inspect each assembly before ordering: contact points belong to the ignition, the float pin supports the float, and fork oil seals retain oil around the sliding tubes. These are separate service jobs with their own checks.
Compare the original parts and settings
The linked contact point and float pin list AT2 1972. The fork oil-seal set measures 30 × 40.5 × 10.5 mm. Compare the removed parts, the fitted forks and the model-specific service information, particularly if the ignition or carburetor has been changed.

Ignition contact point
Compare the mounting arrangement, contact shape and lead connection. Ignition service also requires the correct model-specific setting procedure.
Float pivot pin
The pin supports the float’s pivot. It is separate from the float needle that controls fuel entry into the bowl.
Fork oil seals
Compare all three dimensions and the removed seal. A similar early Yamaha model name is not enough to select the seal profile.
