Yamaha FZX750 parts for repair and restoration
Yamaha introduced the FZX750 in 1986. Its liquid-cooled 749cc inline-four and five-valve cylinder head make it a distinctive Fazer, but parts for the FZX700 or FZ750 should be chosen only where that exact application is stated. The FZX750 remained on sale in Japan in 1998, while many service parts here cover only 1986–1987.
Carburetor fuel control
Float needle and seat for the 1986–1987 FZX750 help control fuel entering the carburetor bowl. Check the original needle and seat against the product before ordering for the carburetor fitted to your bike.
Cooling system
Thermostat for the 1986–1987 FZX750 controls coolant flow as the engine warms. Match the thermostat and housing seal to the assembly you are servicing.
Fork oil seals
The fork oil seal pair measures 38 × 50 × 10.5 mm and covers the 1986–1987 FZX750. Measure the removed seals if a different front end has been fitted.
Choosing parts for your FZX750
FZX750 or FZX700: Read the full model designation before ordering. The FZX750 has a 749cc engine; a part for an FZX700 is useful here only if its own application also names your FZX750 and year.
Early and later years: The carburetor needle, thermostat and fork seals here cover 1986–1987. The brake pads cover 1986–1993 and 1998. Those later brake years do not extend the coverage of the other parts.
Original equipment: Yamaha's 1998 Japanese FZX750 specifications identify a liquid-cooled inline-four with four carburetors and disc brakes. If your bike has different carburetors, forks or calipers, identify the fitted assembly before choosing its service parts.
Building a custom FZX750?
For a custom FZX750, browse universal handlebars and grips or mirrors and adaptors. Check bar clamp diameter, control clearance, mirror thread and cable reach on the bike. Universal accessories can require modification.

Yamaha FZX750 Parts questions
Which fork seals should I order for my 1987 FZX750?
The fork oil seal pair for a 1987 FZX750 measures 38 × 50 × 10.5 mm. Compare those three dimensions with the seals removed from your forks, especially if the front end has been changed.
Will the float needle and seat fit a 1998 FZX750?
The float needle and seat here cover the 1986–1987 FZX750. For a 1998 model, identify the carburetors fitted and choose a product with that specific application.
Can I use FZX700 parts on my FZX750?
Only when the particular part also specifies your FZX750 and year. The FZX700 and FZX750 have different engine displacements, so the Fazer name alone is not enough for an engine or carburetor part.
Do these FZX750 brake pads cover a 1995 bike?
The brake pads here cover 1986–1993 and 1998. A 1995 application is not confirmed for this pad; compare the fitted caliper and pad shape before ordering.
