About the Yamaha PW80
A broad PW80 carburetor-kit application does not extend the coverage of chassis parts.
The PW80 examples here illustrate why a repair list needs separate year checks. The carburetor kit lists 1983–2011, the fork seals list 1983–2007 and the rear brake shoes list 1983–2005. Those are individual product applications, not one shared range for the motorcycle or collection.
Identify the carburetor and the wheel position
Compare the kit with the carburetor actually fitted, including its markings and supplied service pieces. At the chassis, confirm the complete fork-seal dimensions and the rear hub. PW50 and PW80 share the family navigation but still need their own product applications.

Different ending years
A 2008 PW80 falls within the featured carburetor-kit range but outside the featured fork-seal and rear-shoe ranges. Use each listing’s own application rather than transferring coverage between jobs.
Rear drum and fork dimensions
The brake shoes below are for the rear drum. The fork-seal set is listed as 26 × 37 × 10.5 mm; neither its dimensions nor its year range identify a brake application.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingPW80 identification & fitment checks
- Record PW80 and the model year; do not substitute a PW50 application.
- Read the carburetor markings and compare kit photos and contents with the installed carburetor.
- Identify the rear drum hub and measure the fork seals at the fitted fork assembly.
