About the Yamaha XJ650L

Two different motorcycles share the shortened XJ650L reference.

The 1981 XJ650LH is a Midnight Maxim; the 1982 XJ650LJ is a Turbo. The Turbo’s pressurized induction system makes this more than a naming detail when buying carburetor components. Use the full designation to connect the repair part to the correct motorcycle.
