About the Yamaha XJ750
Choose the right XJ750 model, then find the carburetor, gasket, brake or suspension parts for the job.
This family collection brings together Yamaha XJ750 and XJ750J applications with the XJ750M Midnight Maxim, XJ750R Seca and XJ750X Maxim X. The model links narrow the range before you compare carburetors, engine covers, brakes and forks.
XJ750 carburetor and gasket year differences
Year coverage changes with the part. The carb rebuild kit below covers XJ750 1982–1983 and XJ750R 1981–1983. The engine gasket set covers XJ750 1982–1984 and XJ750R 1981–1982. Maxim X float valves and bowl gaskets have separate 1985–1986 applications. Check each line of your order against the motorcycle and the assembly fitted to it.

The R collection has separate brake, clutch, gasket and suspension applications.

The X collection has its own float-valve, bowl-gasket, valve-cover and fork-seal examples.
Parts checkpoint: The exhaust joint gasket lists 1986 only. Do not extend it to 1985.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingXJ750 identification checklist
Keep the frame and engine records together. Confirm the model year using documentation that matches the motorcycle’s market and full model designation.
- Copy the complete frame number and model label before using a family-wide parts search.
- Confirm model year and sales market from the matching Yamaha documentation; registration date alone may not identify the model year.
- Photograph carburetor markings, the cylinder-head cover and brake hardware. Keep any donor-part records.
- Compare fork seal markings, brake-pad outlines and fuel-system components with the specific product listing.
Contact PartsNMore with clear photos of the frame and engine markings and the component you need. Include any known replacements or modifications.
