About the Yamaha XVZ1300
Venture, Venture Royale and Royal Star parts start with the full model code.
Yamaha used XVZ1300 and XVZ13 designations across distinct V-four motorcycles. The 1999 Royal Star Venture, identified as XVZ1300TF, used a 1,294 cc liquid-cooled V-four and specification changes from the Royal Star on which it was based. A touring name or 1300 badge does not identify every engine, carburetor or chassis component.
Separate early Venture and later Royal Star repairs
An early engine gasket set and a later carburetor kit serve different groups within this collection. A clutch plate may cover several named variants but skip a year within one variant. Read the complete model entry, then compare the carburetor, fork or clutch component fitted.
Model and application differencesVenture and Royal Star: model codes that matter
Earlier Venture / XVZ13D
The engine gasket set lists XVZ1300 1986–1992, while the fork set lists 1986–1993. Other XVZ13D components have their own year coverage.
Royal Star variants
Later A, AT, LT and other suffixes distinguish applications. Read the entire model code instead of applying a generic XVZ1300 listing to every cruiser.
Royal Star Venture / TF
The Royal Star Venture has its own touring specification. Confirm TF, TFM or TFS applications directly; a Royal Star carburetor listing alone is insufficient.
