About the Yamaha YSR80
Keep the YSR80’s model identity and each component’s year range in view.
The YSR family navigation brings YSR50 and YSR80 searches together, but the service applications still need an exact model check. On this page, the front pads list YSR80 for 1986, the float needle lists 1990–1992 and the steering kit lists 1990–1991. These entries do not establish continuous 1986–1992 coverage for every part.
Separate fuel-level and steering repairs
The float needle belongs to the carburetor’s fuel-level control. Check its supplied pieces rather than assuming a seat is included. The steering kit services the frame head and stem, not the wheel hubs. Neither application can be inferred from the front brake-pad listing.

1986 front-pad application
The featured pads list the front disc brake for 1986. Compare the fitted caliper and backing-plate shape; the later carburetor and steering ranges do not extend that brake application.
1990–1992 needle and 1990–1991 bearings
The float needle has a later ending year than the steering kit. Check each product on its own, and keep a needle, its mating seat and any steering seals separate in the contents check.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingYSR80 identification & fitment checks
- Record YSR80 and the exact year; do not substitute YSR50 coverage.
- Identify the carburetor and compare the float needle’s tip, length and attachment arrangement.
- Confirm the front caliper and steering-head bearing dimensions; distinguish steering bearings from wheel-hub bearings.
