About the Yamaha YZ250
Current YZ250 fork-seal examples, with explicit gaps and an early-fitment warning.
The YZ250 has a long service history, and the selected parts cover widely separated years. The carburetor kit lists 2000–2013 while the featured engine gasket set lists 1997–1998. Current in-stock fork-seal examples cover 1981–1988, 1991–1995, 1996–2003, 2004–2007 and 2010–2011; identify the fork actually fitted before ordering.
Fork diameter and seal profile both matter
For 1977–1980, two current catalog listings carry different seal profiles. Identify the fitted fork and match the removed seal or confirmed OEM reference before ordering. No product shown here confirms 1974–1976, 1989–1990 or 2008–2009. The four-stroke YZ250F is a separate model, and its applications do not fill a YZ250 gap.

Identify your motorcycle before orderingYZ250 model and component checklist
- Confirm the complete model designation and model year. Keep YZ250WR and YZ250F suffixes when present.
- Record the engine and carburetor markings before choosing internal engine or fuel-system service parts.
- Inspect fork and brake equipment for changes. Preserve application gaps instead of extending a range across an omitted year.
