About the Honda CL125A
Restore the CL125A twin with its own carburetor and clutch applications.
A twin engine with one carburetor
The Honda owner’s manual describes the CL125A as an OHC twin and specifies one carburetor. Keep the A-model engine identity when searching for floats or clutch parts. A CL125S carburetor kit elsewhere in the family is for the later single-cylinder branch.
Use references to compare small restoration parts
The featured float lists 16013-116-700; the individual steel clutch plate lists 23311-200-000. The tank tap and cap carry separate references, 16950-107-000 and 17620-402-000. These selected products explicitly list CL125A 1968. For another year or a changed assembly, compare the part itself before extending that application.
Identification and parts selectionCL125A component identification
| Model or assembly | Identifying detail | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Engine / carburetor | OHC twin with one carburetor in the Honda manual | Use the A-model application; a single carburetor does not identify the S engine. |
| Float | 16013-116-700; CL125A 1968 | Compare the float shape, hinge arrangement and fitted carburetor. |
| Steel clutch plate | 23311-200-000; sold individually | Measure the plate and establish the required number from the installed clutch. |
| Turn-signal stem | Individual mounting component; CL125A 1968 | Check mounting length, end fittings and wire passage; a lamp assembly is separate. |

Identify your motorcycle before orderingCL125A identification checklist
Record the full CL125A designation, model year, market and engine number. Photograph carburetor markings and the component being replaced. For tank or indicator work, include clear images of mounting points and any altered hardware.
- Keep the complete model designation and year with your parts list.
- Record frame and engine markings separately. A replacement engine needs its own parts comparison.
- Compare the component fitted to the motorcycle, the product application and the package contents.
