About the Honda CL125
Carburetor, engine and fuel-system repair guidance for the CL125, with model and year checks for every linked part.
Honda’s CL125A owner’s manual describes an OHC twin with a single carburetor. The CL125S1 crankshaft fiche shows the later single-piston engine. Carburetor count alone is therefore a poor shortcut for telling the two bikes apart: read the frame and engine markings and identify the cylinder layout.
CL125A and CL125S are different engine families
The A-model float here fits CL125A 1968; the S-model rebuild kit and overhaul gasket set list CL125S 1973–1974. The linked cap and fuel tap happen to list both branches for those years. Shared tank fittings do not establish shared engine or carburetor internals.

Prepare for the repairIdentify your CL125 and the fitted part
Check the model code and year
Confirm the complete model code and year from the motorcycle’s identification label or registration. Do not drop the CL125, CL125A and CL125S suffixes when you check fitment.
Match the part already fitted
Compare the original part with the product photos and specifications. Check markings, dimensions, mounting points, left/right or front/rear position, and the quantity supplied.
