About the Honda CRF450
Choose the CRF450 version first, then build a repair list around its engine and chassis.
The CRF450 name spans different Honda off-road models and generations. Honda launched the Unicam four-stroke CRF450R for 2002 and moved the R to fuel injection for 2009. This family page helps you separate those model identities before choosing engine or chassis service parts.
Choose the CRF450 version before the repair part
The clutch and steering examples below identify CRF450R applications. The front master-cylinder kit also names CRF450X, with a different year range. Use the CRF450R collection for the focused R-model selection; an RX or RWE still needs its own explicit product application.

Use the model, year and fitted component together when comparing these applications.
Model suffix
R, X, RX and RWE need individual checks
Use a product’s exact model entry. One master-cylinder kit shared by R and X does not establish shared clutch or steering parts.
Fuel system
Carburetor or fuel injection?
Honda’s CRF450R timeline identifies the 2009 fuel-injection change. Confirm the system on the actual bike before selecting carburetor service parts.
Repair planning
Compare the year range for each assembly
The examples below include R clutch parts for 2002–2005 and R steering bearings for 2002–2007. These ranges describe the listed products, not the whole family.
