Kawasaki KLT250C parts for repair and restoration
Keep the Prairie C-series code with every parts decision.
Kawasaki identifies the Prairie versions as KLT250-C1 for 1983, C2 for 1984 and C3 for 1985. The brake shoes, float-bowl gasket and cam chain each cover KLT250C 1983–1985, but serve different systems.
See the Kawasaki KLT three-wheeler parts for related model guidance.
Read the model code
Record KLT250C and the C-series suffix/year. On a repaired three-wheeler, compare the installed hub, carburetor bowl and exhaust joint with the part being replaced.

Carburetor bowl gasket
This gasket seals the float bowl to the carburetor body; it does not control fuel level. Inspect the bowl and sealing groove.
Cam chain
The BF05T × 90 chain is an endless engine cam chain. It maintains valve timing and is not the final-drive chain.
Frame, year and fitted equipmentIdentification checklist
Use the full KLT250C marking, year and frame/engine identifiers. Confirm the exact component and follow the correct service manual for the endless cam-chain installation.
- Record KLT250C and C1/C2/C3 where available.
- Identify the wheel brake and shoe profile before ordering friction parts.
- Separate the engine cam chain from the final-drive chain.
