About the Kawasaki KLT250C Prairie
Four distinct KLT250C repairs, with the cam-chain specification and sealing locations made explicit.
Use KLT250C and the model year for this Prairie three-wheeler. The featured shoes, carburetor bowl gasket, cam chain and exhaust gasket all list 1983–1985, but each belongs to a different assembly. An earlier KLT250A application is only useful when the individual product also names your C model.
Choose the sealing joint or engine component
A bowl gasket seals the carburetor bowl; it does not control fuel level. An exhaust gasket seals the exhaust joint and is sold individually. The BF05T × 90 endless chain is a cam chain for valve timing, rather than a final-drive chain. These distinctions turn a broad “Kawasaki 250” search into a component-specific order.
Model and component differencesKLT250C repair checkpoints
KLT250C, 1983–1985
Drum-brake shoes
The featured shoes replace reference 41048-1017. Identify the wheel position, hub and shoe profile, then confirm package contents for the brake being serviced.
KLT250C, 1983–1985
Carburetor float-bowl gasket
Compare the bowl outline, screw pattern and sealing groove. A leak at this joint differs from fuel passing through an overflow.
KLT250C, 1983–1985
BF05T × 90 endless cam chain
The listed cam chain replaces reference 21070-013. Match engine application, pitch, link count and endless construction; use the correct service procedure for valve-timing work.
KLT250C, 1983–1985
Individual exhaust gasket
The gasket replaces reference 11009-1866. Compare the port, flange, gasket style and thickness. Order the quantity required by the actual exhaust joints being opened.
