About the Kawasaki S2
Engine, carburetor and fork service parts for the early 350 Mach II.
The S2 is part of Kawasaki’s early two-stroke triple family. An engine reseal, carburetor float repair or fork service can each form a manageable stage of a restoration. The linked repair examples identify the parts and applications for those jobs without assuming that one package covers the entire motorcycle.
Choosing S2 service parts
S2 and S2A equipment needs a closer look when selecting tank, control or brake parts. Kawasaki’s original diagrams distinguish their fuel tanks and cap assemblies. Compare the actual tank and front brake with the relevant diagram, especially if the motorcycle has acquired replacement components over the years.

S2 and S2A equipment
Kawasaki lists separate S2 and S2-A tank and cap assemblies. Compare the actual latch, hinge and tank opening before selecting cap-related parts.
Engine parts versus brake hardware
The selected engine gasket set lists 1972–1973. That coverage does not establish the same hydraulic brake hardware for both years or for a converted front end.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingS2 identification checklist
- Record the complete model designation and the frame and engine markings.
- Identify a front drum or disc before comparing brake repair parts.
