About the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
The full ZX model code is more useful than a Ninja badge when choosing repair parts.
The ZX-6R collection brings together several Kawasaki model codes rather than one unchanged set of components. ZX600J carburetor and dust-seal applications differ from the 2005–2006 ZX600N and ZX636 fork-seal examples. The complete code is the starting point for a useful parts comparison.
Keep the 2005 ZX600J carburetor entry separate
The carburetor kit names ZX600J 2000–2002 and 2005. That J-code entry does not cover every 2005 Ninja or ZX636. Identify the fuel system on the bike, then compare the carburetor or injection equipment. For chassis service, check the fork and rear caliper independently.

Model codes
ZX600J versus ZX636 and other ZX600 codes
Keep every letter and number in the comparison. A shared Ninja or ZX-6R name does not make different assemblies interchangeable.
Fork parts
Oil seals and dust seals have different applications
The featured dust seals list ZX600J 2000–2001; the oil seals list ZX600N and ZX636 2005–2006.
Rear brake pads
Read the complete application list
The selected rear pads list several codes and years. Confirm your exact entry rather than copying a range from a different code.
