About the Kawasaki ZX900B Ninja ZX-9R
A closer look at B-model carb kits, rear pads and clutch plates.
Kawasaki identifies the 1994 Ninja ZX-9R as ZX900B1. This B-model parts range sits between the ZX900A GPZ900R and later C-model ZX-9R applications, making the lettered code important when comparing service parts.
Choosing between the ZX900B carburetor kits
There are two carburetor kits to compare: one lists ZX900B 1994 and the other lists 1994–1996. Their overlapping years do not explain the differences in contents or carburetor specification. Check the carburetor markings and the pieces required for your overhaul; rear-pad and clutch coverage is shown separately below.
For another version, use ZX900A GPZ900R parts or 1998–1999 ZX900C parts.

Overlapping 1994 options
One kit lists 1994 only; another lists 1994–1996. Neither application alone proves coverage for 1997.

Separate 1994–1997 applications
The selected rear pads and individual clutch plate have their own B-model fitment. Do not apply those years to every product.
Before orderingModel, frame and component identification
- Record the full ZX900B designation from the motorcycle and use the model year, rather than the first registration date alone.
- Compare carburetor markings, bowl shape and the pieces supplied in each proposed kit.
- Identify any replacement fork or caliper before choosing its seals or pads.
Send the PartsNMore team your model and year, plus clear photos of the component and its markings. Use factory documentation for serial-number interpretation.
