About the Suzuki RM125
Year-specific engine and chassis changes are central to ordering RM125 repair parts.
Suzuki’s RM125 developed across distinct competition generations, including the air-cooled 1976 model and later designs. For repair parts, the fitted engine year and rear brake type are more useful than the RM125 name alone. Keep those details with the frame identification when planning a rebuild.
Keep the 1997 and 1998–2000 gasket sets separate
Choose the gasket set that identifies the engine you are opening, then compare the contents with the repair. The older rear shoes need the matching 1984–1987 drum-brake assembly. The broader 1992–2005 steel clutch-plate range does not extend either gasket set or the rear shoes.
Know your RM125 before choosing partsRM125 repair checkpoints
Use the model, year and fitted component together when comparing these applications.
Engine gaskets
1997 versus 1998–2000
Use the set that lists the engine’s year and compare its contents with the joints being opened. Do not assume every oil seal is included.
Rear brake
1984–1987 drum-shoe example
The featured rear shoes belong to a listed drum-brake application. Later disc brakes require correctly matched pads instead.
Clutch
1992–2005 steel plate example
This broader range describes the selected separator plate. It does not extend the gasket or brake-shoe applications.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingRM125 identification checklist
- Frame and model
- Record the complete stamped model and frame/VIN characters.
