About the Suzuki TS400
Focused service parts for Suzuki’s large-capacity TS trail motorcycle.
Suzuki’s digital archive describes the 1972 TS400, also named Hustler 400, as a 396 cc air-cooled two-stroke single built for road and off-road use. For a surviving machine, the original model identity and the condition of its fitted components matter more than a general “400” parts description.
Treat front and rear brake service separately
For brake work, identify the hub and axle position, then compare the old shoes, springs and cam ends. For clutch service, match the plain steel plate to the original stack. A replacement drain plug also needs the correct thread pitch and sealing arrangement; the 14 mm diameter is only one measurement.

Front versus rear drum brakes
Select the listing for the axle being serviced and compare shoe dimensions, cam ends and spring arrangement. Similar descriptions do not replace a position check.
Clutch and drain-plug dates
The featured steel plate lists 1972–1977; the drain plug lists 1974–1977. Do not broaden the plug’s coverage from the clutch listing.
