About the Honda CRF50
A practical split between original CRF50F service parts and a modified pit-bike build.
The Honda frame identifies the motorcycle, but it cannot identify an aftermarket engine, larger carburetor or replacement wheel. For an original bike, use the full CRF50F model and year. For a conversion, keep a second list of the installed engine and chassis components. The CRF50F repair guide is the next step for confirmed Honda applications.
Keep three fuel-system purchases separate
The carburetor kit, complete petcock and rivet-style tap kit service different assemblies and carry different year ranges. Sharing a 2004–2023 year window does not make the repair kit and complete tap the same purchase. The carburetor kit has its own 2004–2012 application. Check the carburetor body and fuel-tap design before adding either to a modified bike’s order.

Original CRF50F carburetor
Rebuild-kit application: 2004–2012
Compare the carburetor body, included parts and jet sizes. A larger aftermarket carburetor needs a kit matched to that carburetor, even when the frame is Honda.
Complete fuel tap
Petcock application: 2004–2023
Match the tank mounting, outlet and hose connection. This replaces the tap assembly rather than just its internal sealing pieces.
Original rivet-style tap
Repair-kit application: 2004–2023
The kit lists CRF50F 2004–2023 and supplies sealing parts, replacement fasteners and a drill for removing the rivets. Confirm the matching tap design.
Original drum-brake wheels
Front and rear shoes: 2004–2005
The featured shoe listings have separate front and rear positions. Match the installed hub and shoe profile; a replacement wheel or another-brand pit bike requires separate evidence.
Honda CRF50 identification checklist
- Confirm the manufacturer and full model from the frame identification.
- Compare engine and carburetor markings with the documentation for the bike.
- For brake shoes, identify the front or rear hub and check whether the wheel is original.
