About the Honda VTX1300

Honda's 1312cc VTX1300 pairs a liquid-cooled V-twin with a single carburetor and shaft final drive. The C, R and S share that basic layout but differ in their wheels, styling and chassis details. Identify the complete model before comparing service parts.

Carburetor, clutch or fork-cap repair?

For fuel leaks, distinguish a leaking bowl joint from a fuel-level problem before choosing a gasket or float. For clutch work, identify the required plate and stack position. At the forks, cap O-rings seal the top-cap joint; they are separate from the sliding fork oil seals.

Model and application differencesVTX1300C, VTX1300R and VTX1300S differences

VTX1300C Custom

The Custom uses cast wheels and its own styling. The linked float and bowl gasket list C 2004–2008; the clutch plate and cap O-rings list C 2004–2009.

Honda VTX1300 parts questions

How do I choose between VTX1300C, R and S parts?
Start with the model designation and year on the motorcycle’s identification and documents. The C is the Custom; the R has retro styling with cast wheels, and the S has spoke wheels. Then match the individual part’s model and year, especially if wheels, forks or controls have been replaced.
Can a bowl gasket fix VTX1300 fuel overflow?
A bowl gasket seals the joint between the float bowl and carburetor body. Fuel overflow can involve the float or float valve instead. Identify where the fuel escapes before choosing the repair; the float and gasket linked here are separate products.
Is the VTX1300 clutch plate supplied as a complete clutch pack?
The linked clutch plate is sold individually; order the quantity required. Confirm its plate type and position in the clutch stack. Friction plates, steel plates and springs have separate functions and must be checked against the fitted clutch.
Can I use these collections for a VTX1300T?
Some linked products also list VTX1300T applications. Open the product and check the T year directly. Selecting a C, R or S collection does not confirm a T application.
