About the Kawasaki VN800
The Vulcan 800 name covers several applications with useful repair differences.
This VN800 parent collection helps you choose between the standard A, Classic B and early Drifter C designations. Some products also list VN800E. Keep that full code when ordering: the featured carburetor kit is listed for A and B, while the selected rear master-cylinder kit specifically lists C in 2000.
The clutch-spring split needs a separate check
For A and B applications, the featured spring-kit choices divide at 2002. The earlier kit lists A 1995–2001 and B 1996–2001; the later kit lists A and B 2002–2005. The later kit also has a separate C 1999–2000 entry. Read those as distinct applications, not one continuous range across every Vulcan 800.
