About the Suzuki DR650
Find your place in the DR650 family before building a repair order.
The DR650 family page is a starting point for comparing R, S and SE service applications. It includes engine gasket sets, brake friction parts and hydraulic repair kits, while the model links help narrow the selection when your motorcycle is identified as DR650S or DR650SE.
Choosing DR650 service parts
Model years matter around Suzuki’s 1996 DR650SE revision, and the SE suffix also appears in earlier applications. The engine gasket set below lists DR650R 1990–1995. The front master-cylinder kit lists DR650S 1990–1993 and DR650SE 1994–1997 separately. Use those complete entries rather than a broad early-or-late assumption.

R, S and SE product applications
The gasket example lists R, the front-pad example lists S, and hydraulic products include selected S and SE years. Read each entry independently.
The 1996 model transition
Treat the year as essential alongside the suffix. Earlier SE catalog entries and the revised 1996 DR650SE must not be collapsed into one assumed generation.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingDR650 identification checklist
- Record the full model code and model year from the frame and registration documents.
- Identify any engine, fork or brake conversion before using a standard application.
- For carburetor work, read the fitted carburetor identity rather than relying on engine size.
