About the Yamaha XJ600
Choose the right XJ600 variant before planning fuel-system or chassis work.
The XJ600 name spans more than one Yamaha generation. Yamaha’s archive records the earlier XJ600 and the later XJ600S Diversion, whose air-cooled inline four and intake layout were designed around everyday touring. That shared name is useful for finding the family; the complete model designation is what matters when selecting carburetor and chassis parts. Yamaha model history.
Build the repair around your XJ600 variant
Begin a recommissioning job by recording the carburetor markings and checking the intake rubbers, fuel supply and existing airbox. For chassis work, inspect the fork tubes and identify the brake caliper before choosing consumables. A parent collection can contain several valid applications without every product fitting every XJ600.

Use the checkpoints below to prepare the parts list for your repair.
Carburetor years
1992 and later S-model kits
The catalog has a 1992 XJ600S carburetor kit and a separate kit listing 1993–1998. Choose by the individual application and compare the included pieces with your carburetors.
N and S models
Keep the suffix in the search
The featured float-bowl gasket lists XJ600N 1999–2001 and XJ600S 1996–2002. A shared gasket does not establish interchangeability of complete carburetor racks.
Chassis service
Fork coverage is component-specific
The featured oil seals list XJ600S 1992–1996. The dust-seal listing extends through 1997, so one date range should not be carried across a whole fork-service order.
