About the Kawasaki motorcycle range

Find your Kawasaki family, then build a parts list for the repair.

Kawasaki’s motorcycle history includes very different machines: the H1 two-stroke triple helped establish its big-bike reputation, while the Z1 introduced in 1972 brought a 903 cc, four-cylinder DOHC engine. Today, a Kawasaki parts search can mean a classic KZ restoration, a Ninja brake repair, a Vulcan service or work on an off-road bike. Those names need to lead to the correct model family before a part is chosen.

KZ restoration, Ninja maintenance or Vulcan repairs?

Start with Kawasaki KZ parts or Z1 parts for the classic road-bike ranges. Follow ZX sport-bike parts, EX parts or VN Vulcan parts for those families. Keep the full model code: carburetor bodies, brake assemblies and fork dimensions can differ within a familiar model name.

Know your Kawasaki before choosing partsKawasaki model families and repair routes

Choose the family that matches the frame identity. Each route leads to its own models and repair parts.

Classic road bikes

KZ and Z1

Kawasaki KZ parts and Kawasaki Z1 parts provide separate starting points. Compare the full model code before choosing carburetor kits, engine gaskets or chassis parts.

Parts checkpoint: Keep model suffixes and component markings with your parts list.

Sport and cruiser models

ZX, EX and VN Vulcan

ZX, ZXR and ZZR parts, EX parts and VN Vulcan parts are organized into different families. Shared styling or a shared trade name does not establish interchange.

Parts checkpoint: Select the actual model year and front or rear brake position.

Off-road and trail models

KX, KDX, KLX and KLR

KX parts, KDX parts, KLX parts and KLR parts have their own routes. Follow the exact application when comparing suspension seals or repair kits.

Parts checkpoint: Identify the fitted fork and brake assemblies before ordering.

Identify your motorcycle before orderingKawasaki identification checklist

Record the complete model code, year and fitted components before choosing parts for a restored or modified Kawasaki.

  • Frame identity: Copy the full stamped model code and identification label, including suffix letters.
  • Model year and market: Use the model year in the motorcycle’s documentation. Registration year alone may differ.
  • Fitted equipment: Photograph carburetor markings, brake calipers and fork legs if these may have been replaced.
  • Each application: Match the individual product to the complete model and year; a family page is a browsing aid.

Kawasaki Motorcycle parts questions

Where can I find Kawasaki KZ and Z1 restoration parts?
Use the Kawasaki KZ or Z1 family links on this page, then choose your complete model and year. From that model collection you can narrow the range to carburetor, engine, brake or suspension parts.
Is a Ninja or Vulcan name enough to identify Kawasaki parts?
Use the complete model code and year as well as the Ninja or Vulcan name. Suffix letters and numbers distinguish applications within a family. Keep the original market information and component markings if the bike has been imported or modified.
How do I match Kawasaki fork seals?
Match the motorcycle and year, then the seal inside diameter, outside diameter and height. For example, the linked EX500D 1994–2007 seals measure 37 × 50 × 11 mm. A fork swap requires checking the installed fork rather than relying on the frame model alone.
Where are Kawasaki trail, motocross and ATV parts?
KX, KDX, KLX and KLR motorcycles have separate family links in this motorcycle directory. Kawasaki ATVs and three-wheelers use the Kawasaki ATV directory. Choose the exact model and year within the appropriate range.
